Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care, clinical support, and administrative assistance to ensure efficient and high-quality healthcare services. You will collaborate with providers, nurses, pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals to support patient treatment and recovery.
This position may require remote work and is subject to all current CMS vaccine mandates.
Key Responsibilities: Patient Care & Clinical Support:
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments by collecting medical history, vital signs, medications, and allergies.
- Administer medications, injections, wound care, and assist with EKGs, GYN exams, and other procedures as directed by providers.
- Observe and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and disease management.
- Assist patients with medication assistance program refills.
- Collect and process lab samples (urine, blood, sputum) and perform routine laboratory tests.
Administrative & Coordination Duties:
- Serve as a liaison between patients and providers, ensuring seamless communication.
- Assist with scheduling tests, treatments, and referrals when needed.
- Maintain clinical supplies, exam rooms, and medical equipment, ensuring all items are stocked and up to date.
- Track and log immunizations, drug samples, and vaccine inventory.
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards.
- Support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives and meaningful use criteria.
Quality & Compliance Responsibilities:
- Participate in quality assurance, professional development, and emergency preparedness training.
- Assist in maintaining regulatory requirements for laboratory operations.
- Monitor and document patient progress, chronic disease care protocols, and test results.
- Promote a workplace culture that fosters respect, teamwork, and compassionate care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical equipment, and safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and patient care skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
- Proficiency in medical record documentation and basic arithmetic.
- Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
